Rebel Art: Myanmar Artists Respond to Repression
Placé sous la coordination artistique de Kyar Pauk, figure majeure de la scène culturelle birmane aujourd’hui en exil, et introduit par Chloé Baills (doctorante de l’EHESS), Rebel Art: Myanmar Artists Respond to Repression explore les formes contemporaines de création artistique et de résistance au Myanmar depuis le coup d’État militaire du 1er février 2021. Les œuvres de vingt-deux artistes – photographes, peintres, illustrateurs et poètes – témoignent, chacune à leur manière, de l’expérience de la «Révolution de Printemps».
Artistically coordinated by Kyar Pauk, a leading figure in Myanmar’s contemporary cultural scene now living in exile, and introduced by Chloé Baills (Ph.D. candidate, EHESS), Rebel Art: Myanmar Artists Respond to Repression explores contemporary artistic expression and resistance in Myanmar following the military coup of February 1, 2021. The works of twenty-two photographers, painters, illustrators, and poets each offer a personal perspective on the experience of the Spring Revolution.

Les 9 et 10 juillet se tenait à Bangkok le symposium inaugural (kick-off meeting) du Réseau de recherche international (IRN), financé par le CNRS (Centre national de la recherche scientifique), intitulé « Rethinking Urban Planning and Transitions under Resource Scarcity : Indo-Pacific cities within planetary limits » (RUPTuRS, 2026-2030).
Il a rassemblé une douzaine de participant(e)s travaillant sur la Thaïlande, la Malaisie, l’Indonésie, Singapour, la Corée du Sud, l’Inde et le Japon. L’événement était coorganisé par la Faculté d’architecture et de planification de l’Université Thammasat (Bangkok) et les responsables du programme, Gabriel Facal (IRASEC), Elisabeth Peyroux (CNRS et National University of Singapore, NUS), et Raphaël Languillon-Aussel (Institut Français de Recherche sur le Japon à la Maison franco-japonaise, IFRJ).
On 9 and 10 July, the inaugural symposium of the International Research Network (IRN), funded by the CNRS, “Rethinking Urban Planning and Transitions under Resource Scarcity: Indo-Pacific Cities within Planetary Limits” (RUPTuRS, 2026–2030), was held in Bangkok.
The event brought together around a dozen participants working on Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore, South Korea, India, and Japan. It was co-organized by the Faculty of Architecture and Planning at Thammasat University in Bangkok and the programme coordinators, Gabriel Facal (IRASEC), Elisabeth Peyroux (CNRS and the National University of Singapore, NUS), and Raphaël Languillon-Aussel (French Institute for Research on Japan at the Maison franco-japonaise, IFRJ).

Seminar on Combating Child Sexual Abuse
Les 11 et 12 juin 2026, Magalie Bourdier, chargée de coopération juridique hébergée à l’IRASEC, en coordination avec le service de la magistrate de liaison et de l’experte technique en cybercriminalité, a contribué à l’organisation d’un séminaire franco-thaïlandais, qui s’est déroulé à l’hôtel Grande Centre Point Surawong, consacré à la lutte contre la pédocriminalité, dans le cadre de la troisième Semaine franco-thaïlandaise du droit et de la justice et du 170ᵉ anniversaire des relations diplomatiques entre la France et la Thaïlande.
On 11–12 June 2026, Magalie Bourdier, Legal Cooperation Officer hosted at IRASEC, in coordination with the french regional liaison judge and the international expert on cyberpedocriminality, helped organize a Franco-Thai seminar on combating child sexual abuse, at the Grande Centre Point Surawong hotel. The event took place as part of the third Franco-Thai Week of Law and Justice and the 170th anniversary of diplomatic relations between France and Thailand.
